Houndstooth is a classic pattern for fall and has had a ubiquitous presence this season too. Although popularly recognized in black and white, houndstooth can be portrayed in a variety of color combinations. Here, I show you how I transformed a thrifted pair of 80’s “granny boots” (think Molly Ringwald) into orange suede-look houndstooth boots using basic school supplies. Let’s get into it!
What you need:
-Boots (made for walking…)
-Scissors/carving tool (to carve out the houndstooth)
-Sharpies (I used orange, purple, red, & brown)
-Chalk/pencil (for sketching the design)
