Over winter break, I mentioned in one of my posts how I wanted to dedicate a post to finances. Well, this is my first finance post and it’s about saving. If you’re anything like me, you have a wish list for just about every clothing category. As soon as you get money, you know exactly what item you will be adding to your wardrobe next. In order to suppress (or at least be proactive and attempt to suppress) this problem of mine, I decided I need to start saving more of my money. Over spring break, I found a finance challenge on Pinterest. It’s conveniently structured so you have $1,500 saved in time for Black Friday! Since I started late, I’ve just distributed the weeks I’ve missed throughout the remaining weekly deposits so I can still finish the challenge by Black Friday. Even if you don’t want to save for Black Friday, this is a great way to save for a big ticket item, spring break (my intended purpose), or even to begin a savings account. Save now so you can spend it later!
