Met Gala 2015 Fashion

This year the theme for the Met Gala was “Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film, and Fashion.” Some of the huge trends this year were red gowns and floral designs to embody the Chinese culture and daring dresses with extremely sheer fabric.

As usual, Jennifer Lawrence looks flawless on the red carpet. Her Dior dress, to me, is the perfect mix of elegance and dressing to theme.
slide_423060_5432444_compressed Jennifer Lopez is one of the celebs who chose a dress made of very sheer fabric. This Versace dress works, in my opinion, though, because the red tint to the sheer fabric makes it less harsh. Dontella Versace also chose a completely see-through dress to wear on the red carpet.
Sarah Jessica parker went all out for the Chinese Whispers theme in this H&M dress. I don’t think the dress fits her very well, but it is a beautiful piece that definitely embodies the theme.
Rihanna has also been known to wear something crazy on the red carpet and it does not stop here. The incredibly bold look she is wearing is by Guo Pei.
I’m sure no one is surprised that Kim Kardashian also chose a very sheer dress by Roberto Cavalli. I love the simple white color of this one, but it is still a little too revealing for my tastes.
Miley Cyrus wore an edgy dress by Alexander Wang with huge side cutouts. Each time Miley appears on the red carpet, her looks get more and more daring.
The main scandal of the night–Beyonce’s dress. This Givenchy dress shows almost her entire body through the sheer fabric.
A closer look at Beyonce’s scandalous dress when next to husband, Jay-Z.
Reese Witherspoon had one of my favorite looks of the night. She kept it simple and classic with this bright red Jason Wu dress.
