One of my favorite times of the year is when the leaves begin to crisp and fall off of the trees but the weather is still warm enough to wear some of my summer wardrobe essentials. Instead of storing it all away when the temperature begins to drop,I incorporate them into my fall outfits! Here are five quick ways to transition your favorite summer pieces into your fall wardrobe.
Mini Dress
Personally, I love wearing dresses all year round. A great way to include your favorite mini dress into your fall wardrobe is to pair it with black thigh high socks and booties. If you’re going out, vamp up your outfit with heels and dark lips.
Graphic Tees and Jean Shorts
The best way to give your simple go-to summer outfit an autumn vibe is to team it with an utility jacket. If you don’t already have one, this is a fall staple you should definitely have in your closet! Complete your outfit with tights and booties for an effortlessly stylish look.
Maxi Dresses
Wearing a maxi dress in the summer is the best because you can simply throw it on and look put together – which gives you a better reason to wear it in the fall! Throw on your maxi and your trusty leather jacket and you’ll be ready to go.
Crop Tops
Crops tops have officially become a staple year round. Whether they are tank top crop tops or sweater crop tops, you’ll see them at most retail stores. My go-to summer outfit is a crop top with a pair of high-waisted jean shorts. Adding a long cardigan or kimono, cute booties, and layering jewelry makes the outfit a great summer-to-fall transition.
Lace Bralette
Last but not least is the most popular fall trend for female college students; An oversized sweater or flowy dress worn over a peek-a-boo lace bralette. This sweater/ bralette combo is a great way to look cute and feel comfortable! Stack on the accessories, add some booties and you’ll be ready to Instagram your cute summer to fall #ootd.
