VT Vogue Spotlight Writer: October

Meet this year’s first Spotlight writer, Defne Kansu:

“Hey! My name is Defne (aka Daphnny) and I am from Turkey. I am a second year in Industrial Design major with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I have always been inclined towards visually appealing things whether it was clothing or products. I am coming from a very fashion conscious background so, I naturally consider myself someone who dresses up well. My style changes a lot but I love the balance of edginess and fanciness together. Wearing gold, white, and black together is my go-to look. I love wearing H&M and Loft as much as I love wearing high-end brands like Gucci or Kenzo. My favorites in my closet are my Yeezy Boosts, my neon pink Ted Baker clutch and my Miu Miu glasses! I believe, a good fashion understanding comes from knowing your body and your needs well, not from following the latest trends. Fashion is about experimentation, so go buy things that you could never imagine yourself in and see how it goes!”
