Fall Layering 101

PSL’s, crisp air, and brightly colored leaves are a few of the things that make autumn so blissful. Aside from pumpkin patch trips arising and baking warm apple pies, layering, layering, AND EVEN MORE LAYERING is one of the best things to come about during the season. You can keep warm and cozy without looking over the top by adding different shapes and textures to your outfits. Here’s a few simple tricks and formulas to be comfy, while looking put together.

Play up with Proportions

To keep an outfit classy while looking sassy and sophisticated, try adding something more bulky to a piece that is more flowy.

Play with Textures

Fall is the perfect time to bring out the chunky sweaters that have been hiding in our closets for the past month. Differentiating between chunky knits, denim, leather, fleece, and flannel is a way to mix and match different fabrics to make an outfit look cozy and cool.

Playing with Color

Cream, maroon, black, and brown are typical colors that can seen in almost any wardrobe in the fall. Although I am a big advocate to staying towards neutral colors during the cooler season, a pop of color using a jacket, vest, shoes, or an accessory helps you bundle up and can really make an outfit.
