Top Fall Statement Pieces

Whether it’s going out to a cute little brunch with friends on the weekend or going to class during the week, instead of digging through your closet to find something, here are five statement items to help make your life easier when getting ready.

Getting up for an 8 a.m. is a complete drag and definitely not a favorite for anyone. As the weather has gotten colder and colder, getting dressed in the morning becomes more of an inconvenience. The Sherpa jacket is the perfect statement piece for an early morning trek to class:

This coat is definitely worth the investment for how unbelievably warm it is. It comes in camel, red, and black. It is the perfect over-sized jacket that you can easily pair with your favorite leggings, a comfortable t-shirt, and a pair of tennis shoes.

The next statement piece are embellished jeans; the ideal item for a fun night out. Trying to find an outfit to go out at night can sometimes be difficult when you want to look cute but it’s absolutely freezing outside. Sometimes when picking out an outfit, it’s easier to start from the bottom up.

Any pair of jeans with some sort of embellishment will definitely make a statement. Whether it’s stars, pearls, or stripes, you can never go wrong with a fun pair of jeans. Try sharing them with black boots or Nike Air Force 1’s, and an Off-the-Shoulder black or white bodysuit.

Fall equals tailgates on game day and therefore that equals the infamous jean jacket. Having a jean jacket is definitely a staple piece in your wardrobe and can be paired with almost anything. You can use this 80’s trend to dress things down or even dress things up, depending on the occassion. There are many different colors and shades of denim you can buy, such as light or dark wash, which gives you the perfect variety in your wardrobe.

Even though fall is closing and winter is approaching, bright colors still have the right to be worn. Even on Vogue’s Colors of Fall 2018, they mentioned that fuchsia pink, digital blue, and orange were just some of the exceptional colors to wear this season. Bright colored sweaters make for going out to dinner with friends the quintessential statement piece.

Last but not least, say your friends call and plan to go out to a cute little brunch, but you seemingly have nothing to wear. Nothing says better than a statement shoe. Starting from the bottom once again, loafers and/or mules are a woman’s best friend.

Slip these babies on and you are immediately a boss. Pair them with your favorite jeans, a sweater, and a Sherpa jacket. Add some statement earrings, as well that match the shoes, to tie the outfit all together. You’ll show up to brunch ready to take some cute girl-gang pictures!

Statement pieces always add an extra flair to your outfit, so if you’re distraught about what to wear, especially when you’re in a hurry, grab your statement piece and build from there; the outfit will put itself together!
